A more powerful MSI Wind U100 Plus for Europe and US
MSI Wind was one of the early netbooks on the market, and next to the EEE PCs, it become one of the most known brands in this segment. And although it was launched a long time ago, the Wind U100 is still popular around the world and a good pick for an good priced netbook netbook.
These days MSI announced they’ll upgrade their oldie, and the upgraded version will bare the name of MSI Wind U100 Plus . There are only few changes, the most important one being the improved CPU: this model has the Atom N280 (1.66 Ghz, 667 Mhz FSB) , while the older had the Atom N270 (1.6 Ghz, 533 Mhz FSB). Also, there are a couple of new colors available for the exterior .
Besides that the netbook remains the same: 1 GB fo RAM, 160 Gb hard-drive, 10.2″ screen and Windows XP .
So, the new MSI Wind U100 plus might not be much different than the predecessor, but considering the price remains exactly the same as before (between $320 – $360) , any upgrade is welcomed. The new version should start shipping in US and Europe in just a couple of weeks, so stay tuned, cause we’ll come with updates once we find out more.
