Asus Eee PC T91MT – first 8.9 inch tablet netbook with Windows 7
Asus prepared an upgrade for their T91 touchscreen netbook, the Asus EEE PC T91MT. It seems that the folks from Asus waited to deliver the new little tablet netbook with Windows 7, as it’s known that this operating system offers support for touch commands.

But there are also some other improvements over the base T91 version: the screen is now a multi-touch one and the standard drive has been replaced with a 32 GB SSD. Besides these, everything else rests the same: screen size is still 8.9 inch, the processor inside is still the low power Z520 and there’s still just 1 GB of RAM available.
This device is not yet available in stores, but is expected to be from October 22nd. Price will probably be a little bit bigger than the one of the T91 EEE PC, but still around $500 .
Asus also announced a bigger 10 inch touchscreen netbook earlier this year, but it seems this one will be postponed a little bit and its future might depend on how well will these 9 inch mini laptops perform. I’m just wondering if the increased price can be balanced by the that touchscreen…
Update: You can order the Asus T91MT on Amazon right now, for $549. Or just click the link if you want to see more details, pics and what other buyers have to say about this multi touch netbook with Windows 7.
