HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Special Edition – extremely fancy, but expensive
If astonishing looks is what you’re looking for you next mini laptop, that you’re in the right place: the new HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition is one of the most extravagant 10 inch netbooks available right now, combining design, quality and power, all in one gadget.
As you might have expected, this device is a designer edition. HP partnered with the famous designer Vivienne Tam to create the unique aspect for their new series and it debuted at the New York Fashion Week as part of the Vivienne Tam Spring 2010 collection. Needless to say it was greatly appreciated by critics and audience both.
Inside, you get very good hardware specs for a 10 inch device: 1.6 GHz N450 processor, 2 GB of memory, 250 GB storage space and Windows 7, plus Wi-fi N and Bluetooth in a 2.7 pounds portable package. Too bad for the small battery that can only offer around 4 hours of life. The software package is quite unique also and designed to meet a modern woman’s needs, with a special theme and applications like Compact Mirror (for easily adjusting make-up), HP QuickWeb (for easily accessing your online programs: mail, IM, browser, etc) or HP MediaStream (for watching movies, online streams, listening to music or radios, etc).

But the best part is the exterior. Since this HP Mini 210 is a designer edition, you would expect Vivienne Tam to really stamp her touch on it. And she did. The theme chosen were butterflies, thus you get an amazing butterflies imprint on a champagne-gold finish; together, they look astonishing, like you can see in the pictures.
So this HP Mini 2010 Vivienne Tam Edition is a great netbook to have, I’m sure you’ll agree with me. However, since it is a designer netbook, it is expensive, with a list price of $700. Will be available from March 19th in the US.
The good news is that if you pro-order it now from Amazon, you get 100 bucks discount, so it will only cost you $599.
Great design and hardware, plus a special packing
Still more expensive than a standard mini laptop, but remember that this is a Viviene Tam creation, so if you can afford it, definitely go for it, you won’t regret it.
