MSI Wind U110 Eco now in US, with a huge battery
MSI Wind U110 Eco finally arrived in the US and is now available from Amazon for $399. A pretty good price, considering what it has to offer.
Bellow you can find the main specs:
- 10 inch LED display with 1024×600 px resolution
- Intel Atom Z530 Processor – 1.6 Ghz
- Intel GMA500 Graphics
- 1GB 533Hz RAM (up to 2GB) and a 160GB hard-drive
- Good connectivity: Wireless 802.11n , Ethernet, 3 USB slots
- Other features: 1.3 Mpx webcam, card reader, etc
So, as you can see, the MSI Wind U110 brings hardware specs above the ones of the standard 10 inch netbook. But the best is yet to come: MSI packed a 9 Cell 7800 mAh battery on this one, which combined to the low power CPU should really boost quite an autonomy (rivals like Asus 1005HA or Samsung NC20 should be shivering by now).
Of course, the bigger battery brings a slight weight increase, as this U110 weighs around 3.2 pounds, half a pound more than the standard netbook. But I believe that’s something we can live with. In terms of OS, you can choose between windows Xp and Vista, but i’d definitelly go for Xp for now, Vista is just incredibly sluggish on netbooks.
All in all, we might have a new contender for our list of best 10 inch netbooks . Cause for just under 400 bucks (see more details about this offer), this MSI Wind U110 Eco packs just everything you would need. It does have its flaws but i consider it quite a pick and i can’t wait to get my hands on it for a more through review.
