MSI Wind U210 available in US, with a good price
I’ve told you a couple of things about the 12 inch MSI Wind U200 a couple of weeks ago, when it first entered the European market. Now it is available in US too, with prices starting from $429 for the black version and $470 for the white one.
As you might recall, the Wind U210 uses an AMD platform, the Athlon Neo MV40 1.6 Ghz processor and the ATI Radeon X1250 graphics. This solution allows increased performance over the standard Atom implementation, while keeping the price low (unlike using the Nvidia Ion, which would have got the price up at least $50 ). Besides that you get 2 GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive. It uses Vista as an OS right now, but soon it will come with the new Windows 7.

MSI Wind U210 - 12 inch affordable netbook - costs just $429
MSI’s Wind U210 packs a pretty good 12.1 inch screen with HD ready resolution (1366 x 768 px). This allowed the producer enough space to use a proper sized keyboards in there, still keeping the weight at a minimum: 3.2 pounds . And there’s also the 6 Cell battery that would provide up to 5 hours of juice (good, but it could definitely be better).
So for now, I consider this MSI Wind U210 an interesting choice for those looking for a netbook a little bit more powerful than most but still want to keep an eye on the budget. And for $429, the MSI is just as pricey as other Atom powered netbooks on the market, like the 11.6 inch Asus 1101HA . For more details and pics, just visit this link .
