Nokia Booklet 3G – first netbook from Nokia
Nokia steps on new grounds today, the netbooks segment, with the freshly announced Nokia Booklet 3G sub-laptop. There were rumors before than Nokia was prepping such a device, but now it’s for sure.

Nokia Booklet 3G - the new netbook from Nokia
From the pictures the device seem to look very very nice with its fancy aluminum body. It’s compact and slim (up to 2 cm) and will be available in 3 different colors. Producers say it will also only weight around 2 pounds (1 kilo) and that’s lighter than the other netbooks in this class.
The Booklet 3G will come with a decent sized keyboard with chiclet style keys so we’re expecting a good typing experience from it. Besides that, the new netbook from Nokia will house a 10.1″ screen with probably 1366 x 768 px resolution (and that might a too big res for such a small screen actually).
Since it’s a Nokia, you would also expect the Nooklet 3G to come with amazing connectivity options, and so it does. Besides the regular Wi-Fi you also get 3G/HSDPA with a hot-swappable SIM card and A-GPS that will work well with their Ovi Maps software.
We’re not sure what specs will the new Nokia netbook bring but it will almost surelly use the Atom platform. Of course, other features like web-cam, USB ports, Ethernet and even HDMI output (not found on most other similar netbooks) are here too.
And above all these, Nokia promises up to 12 hours battery life for their new gadget. And that might jsut be trasnlated into 8 to 10 hours of real life autonomy, which sound impressive.
So all in one, i must say this Booklet 3G is WOW!. It seems to pack all you’ll need in a very good looking fancy and light aluminum body. There’s nothing on the prices and exact hardware specs yet, but stay tuned as Nokia announced they will be showing us their netbook at the beginning of September at Nokia World 2009, along with further details .
Till then we leave you with a couple of pics and we look forward for your comments regarding this new entry in the netbooks segment: Nokia Booklet 3G .

WOW! Another Nokia useless product! Amazing! And it comes in different colours.. Cool! I don’t know who makes more useless things.. sony or nokia?
If you want mobility, but performance also and QWERTY.. buy a 13, 14, 15 inch notebook!
If you want something smaller, buy an iPhone.. or PDA!
Simple
Must, i must not agree with you
come one, you can’t say nothing bad about this Nokia. It’s true i’m a Nokia user for quite a while but i’m not a brand guy, i’m just someone who always picks the products that better suit the needs.
Anyway, if i want mobility , performances, qwerty i might go for a 13.3 but i won’t find anything good enough below $600-$800… And yes, i want something smaller but not a PDA, i already have one of those. I just want a mini laptop i can take with me at work if needed , on holidays and that i can use to blog from the balcony or garden while sitting in a sofa
And here’s where netbooks come. Don’t you agree?
