Qualcomm Snaptop touch tablet comes with a Bluetooth keyboard included
From the many touch tablets prototypes showcased at CES, Qualcomm’s Snaptop displayed towards the end of the show, packs up an idea others didn’t.
It is a regular tablet (although pretty bulky and thick), but on the back has a stand that can be pop open so you will be able to place the device on your desk, as a display. And there’s also a detachable keyboard included, that connects to the tablet via Bluetooth. This way the Snaptop solves the inconvenience of using a tablet at your desk, as such gadgets usually lacks a physic keyboard and imputing content might be pretty tough.
Inside there’s the Qualcomm SnapDragon platform already seen on some other devices at CES (like Lenovo’s Skylight), and this should provide enough power for multimedia activities (even HD content), while offering a good autonomy. However, since the prototype showcased ran Android, possibilities to test its graphic abilities were somewhat limited.

And although this Qualcomm Snaptop is a concept right now, it brings up a solution to make the regular touch tablet more versatile and able to work with more daily tasks than just web-surfing and watching movies. Whether we’ll see this device on the market sometime in the future, that’s a mystery for now. But we’ll definitely see more on the idea it brings (probably improved).
