There’s a new ultraportable in town: Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T
Acer is prepping a new ultra portable and powerful Netbook for this summer: the Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T . It’s more of a hybrid between the Aspire One netbooks line and the Timeline series, because it combines the chassis of the first one with the hardware coming from the second.
So, the 1810T will come with some pretty interesting specs:
- 11.6″ screen with 1366 x 768 px resolution
- Intel ULV SU3500 1.4GHz CPU, which is way faster than the Atom inside the regular Aspire One
- Intel GS45 Express Chipset with integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics (capable of HD multimedia rendering)
- Up to 4 GB of RAM and decent hard drives (regular or SSDs)
- Wi-fi, Bluetooth and an optional integrated 3G module

Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T - ultra portable and ultra powerfull
This netbook comes with Vista Home Basic preinstalled and you have the option of free upgrade to Windows 7 Basic. Battery life is impressive: up to 8 hours. And, as for the looks, the images above (from macles) and below speak for themselves: the Timeline 1810T is not a state of art, but a good looking device nonetheless.

Also, compact and pretty good looking, for an Acer
Those being said, you might expect the price for this laptop to be quite high, considering the specs. Frankly, we believe it will start from something around 700$, and that’s quite fair. Because unlike the regular and cheaper netbooks, this Aspire Timeline 1810T from Acer really has what it takes to replace you everyday bigger laptop. Don’t you think?
