Why Amazon is my favourite place to shop for netbooks
There are many places where you can get netbooks these days, both offline and especially online. Although in a online store you can’t see the product live, these type of shops have a couple of advantages of their own. From all this online shops, i for one prefer Amazon. And there are many reasons why:
- It’s a place that always inspired me trust, because so many other use Amazon and were almost always satisfied. And even if they had some problems (with delivery for example), these got solved pretty quickly afterward. Also, i kind of feel safe to pay online and give my private info to Amazon, cause i know that they’re one of the most secure shops online. Because they just ahve ot, as i’m sure many “hackers” try to mess with them everyday and they fail.
- You can get almost anything you need here, from most types of netbooks to any kind of accessories.
- Amazon offers some of the best prices for the products listed on their site. You could find them cheaper in some other stores, but mostly only for a limited time (on Newegg or Buy.com) or in smaller shops. And i for one rather not buy from these small unknown sources that could easily take my money and not deliver the products (it happened to a friend of mine before)
- Amazon offers price cuts for bundles: if you buy a netbook + upgraded ram + case, you get a discount.
- Amazon has many products in stock, so you can get them in just 24 hours if you’re living in the US. Some even come with free delivery.
- Also, Amazon is available in other countries too, like UK, France, Germany . So not only the ones living in US can shop here, but many others.
- Amazon offers some very useful “tools” for shoppers:
- shows me what other people bought and what are the most popular products in their categories
- shows me how other clients marked the products they got and displays lots of reviews from these previous buyers, and not only the positive ones, but also the negative.
- show me pictures and detailed info about products
- Last but not least, i find it very easy to surf through Amazon, as they have lots of filters that can help me narrow my searches and get what i need
What i don’t really like about Amazon is that sometimes, they don’t get newly launched products as fast as other shops, especially Newegg. Also, there are not so many offers available for refurbished netbooks, as they focus more on brand new devices. Oh, and i would appreciate if i could configure my netbooks just the way i want, like on Dell’s site. But I’m aware that’s a feature independent of Amazon, as they are just a store not a producer.
These being said, I’d advice you to check the netbooks dedicated section on Amazon. Even if you’re not looking for buying something right now, it’s worth knowing about this page and bookmarking it for future use (especially since the winter sales is on its way and there will surely be quite lots of interesting deals on netbooks there).
